Ship/Weapon Pack and Underworld are must-haves as well. Probably deviates the most from the lore, but the quality is through the roof. All their ships and weapons are designed to attack someone sideways and playing them feels like submarine warfare. SCY Nation: A lore rich faction based around a single "tall" system. Seriously, just look at their preview, you'll be hooked immediately. Outer Rim Alliance: Broadside ships that work well. Also adds some fun colony structures and has great art. Shadowyards Reconstructive Authority: Odd but cool green ships bristling with energy weapons but still being balanced. I like them a lot for their array of ballistic weapons that serve as good trade-offs for base game counterparts. Interstellar Imperium: Emphasis on stand-off tactics at long ranges, also has a bigass nuke and a really cool home system. They're a quality addition and perfectly lore friendly while adding nothing really "out-there." Tanky and green, these guys feature more armor and slower speeds. Tianding Heavy Industries: A faction built entirely of retrofitted midgame ships. This one particularly fits in nicely with the base game.
